It is not just a convenient belief, the replanting. I have lived in and still live near places that thriving soft wood farms. It takes 20 to 25 years for a clear cut and planted tree farm to be ready to cut for timber, shorter if you settle for pulp and even shorter if you are growing Christmas Trees.
