It is not just here in the U.S. but the world over, except for isolated tribes in the undeveloped world and isolated individuals who refuse (who can refuse) to play the game.

Those with power use it to manipulate whoever they can how ever they can to increase or at least maintain their power and position. War Lords, Plutocrats, Oligarchs, Party Leaders, Dictators, Industrialists, Academics, Gang Leaders, Mafias, Godfathers, Popes, etc.

They are nobody without a following. Their nastiest tactic is Us v. Them. Divide and conquer. Sometimes they even agree to take sides and give the other side a stake. Nothing better to attract a following than a strong adversary.

I feel a lot better since I gave up hope that a revolution is coming. If it comes I will be long dead. It isn't that I don't care, I just will not get angry about what I cannot control or even influence. I prayed for serenity and found it. I only worry about what I can control. I am here to let you know you can find serenity too.
