It needs more than a closer look, it needs to change.

While I might disagree with some of Musk's investments at least his money and the money he can raise is going into building new capabilities new things, new infrastructure.

Bezos should not have copied him but should have instead blazed his own path. Maybe build the worlds biggest solar farms all over the world. Maybe build a fleet of giant solar powered lighter than air aircraft to transport products all around the world and maybe even some could be Cruise Ships of the Air floating in the jet stream circling the globe.

Gates was on the right track but went too small. He should have gone all in on Global Healthcare.

Ellison, what is he even doing.

Musk, SpaceX and NASA could be a great example.

In a public private partnership they created the infrastructure to transport cargo and humans to low Earth orbit and created an new reusable booster as part of a launch vehicle that now is used by NSA and DoD to loft critical national security payloads. With money (capital) from NASA, Musk, his investors, DARPA and DoD combined this new infrastructure is paying huge dividends to the nation and some of that is being reinvested in StarLink that looks as if it could fill another of the country's need's. Affordable Reliable Rural High Speed Internet.

If more of the country's Billionaires would partner with the government (share some of the risk) and put their Capital up as seed money for needed projects, bring on other investors they could be seen as heroes instead of blood sucking leaches.

Crypto Currencies Bitcoin and Ether have a combined market cap of over a trillion dollars. Imagine the possibilities if that capital could be put to work on productive infrastructure projects.
