Just a couple observations. Oh, by the way, good story.

trickle down proponents would argue that tax rates on businesses should be minimized so that it spurs ‘real business activity’ in the economy, that in turn stimulates further production.

Trickle down does not work because it is only a trickle. Too tiny. It does not reduce prices enough (if at all) to stimulate much more demand so there is little growth. Maybe in places with little capital chasing new endevors it might be more effective but in the U.S. at least right now any promising new business of real size seems to have no trouble raising funding.

I would suggest that if you really wanted to grow the economy you would want to stimulate demand not supply. I myself think that we already have unsustainable economic growth and we need to focus more on conservation and efficiency. We need to stop investment in the production of things of little value and focus on the production of things that add value and improve efficiency. We should not tax income an profit we should tax waste and pollution.
