Lauren, two things.

One, why don’t you specify what tax rules let a company that makes a profit not pay taxes on the profit? Your article could then help us change that rule? What is the difference between Net Income and Taxable Income? Is that difference related to income earned in other countries, did they pay taxes in those other countries? Is the difference in capital outlays for research, development, capital equipment and real estate? This story lacks hard data and seems like an emotional outburst.

Two, regarding “Americans miss another rent payment and are unable to put food on the table for their families, they will have nothing left to lose in an effort to take back what’s been taken from them.” Who took what from them? Like my first paragraph, this seems like pot stirring and not an appeal for a real solution. What kind of rash actions by Americans with nothing left to lose are you warning us about.

The wealth being generated by our labor and consumption in this country continues to be robbed from us.

Is this an appeal for higher minimum wage? Maybe it is an appeal for price controls?

We can feel the need but nobody has a real plan.
