It’s plain to see that the system is not working;

Let’s be clear, there is no system or system of systems, it is close to chaos.

• an economic and political system in which a country’s trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit, rather than by the state.

I am not aware of any nation that would meet that definition. No nation/state is totally hands off. Yet, I think that every nation allows small entities a great deal of freedom by which owners can control there business and keep most of the profits.

It would seem that the only true capitalists are entities like the Mexican Cartels everyone else plays by some government’s rules.
