Maybe we read different news stories but what I read says that there has been almost no improvement in capability for months. DeepSeek did not outperform US AI, but US AI is stalled with continuing problems of limits on data sets, diminishing returns and hallucinations. AI capabilities are only going to improve slowly from now on. That does not mean that they are not useful. Many businesses will adopt some AI, and it will improve productivity, but it will be an evolution not a revolution. AI is also going to make mistakes and cause some problems that will hinder its broader rollout.
