Maybe you can clarify this for me. First define "the working man (dump the gendered wording, use the word people or just workers)." I worked with and still work with hourly workers. I have seen them leave for better opportunities. I have helped them grow so they could achieve better opportunities. These were working class and lower middle-class people. I don't know as much about the working poor. I guess they can feel more enslaved with less freedom and opportunity. I live in a mixed-race community and where I spend my money, I see mostly non-white service workers and white middle management. It is not 100% that way but predominantly that way. It bothers me. This is the deep south of the U.S.A. and yes, the non-white population has fewer opportunities.
