There are still a lot of "Makers" we are not solely consumers. Even you here with your writing are a "Maker" I think you are behind the paywall so you are part of the problem, you are a maker who needs consumers. I write here but for free, I am a free maker, I need not consumers, I do what I do because I like doing it.

Artists, musicians, actors, judge them by how commercial is their work. Pop music is the worst. If your music is used in a commercial, someone should cut off one of your fingers.

I make things for myself or to give them away. Yes, the system sucks, if you don't have something to sell the system barely keeps you alive.
