Minimalism is a misnomer, an appropriated label for a passing fad or trend.
In no way does Minimalism even approach minimums it only moderates what had become over done styles and lives.
Living with less voluntarily does not make living with less involuntarily anymore comfortable unless those living with less voluntarily are visibly suffering. If you give me the shirt off your back and then go buy an nicer warmer shirt……why did you not just go buy me a nicer warmer shirt.
Minimalism — is captured by the idea “beware the man who only has one gun. It is probably a very good gun and he probably knows how to use it.” You might have a huge armory stocked with all sorts of weapons but if you spend your time collecting weapons, would you ever become highly skilled in their use.
Do you need a rack full of kitchen knives. Sure they can be handy but do you need more than one knife? Yeah, I need a knife, humans have needed knives since they made the first one out of stone. Since then it has been fun playing with different designs and our materials have come a long way but a minimalist only would have one knife.
I don’t see any minimalists all I see is a bunch of posers, following fads.
