My wife would not go to movie theaters even before COVID. Most theaters are dirty (not properly cleaned) and over priced.

I guess we could argue about over priced. When I went to movies I always avoided crowded showings. The experience is not all the great, it might be awesome to you but to us the drawbacks outweigh the benefits and that was before COVID.
