People have been buying me pets for decades. I never get to pick out my pets. Family, wife, girlfriends or whoever pick out pets for me to take care of. At least 5 cats and 4 dogs. My current wife has 8 rodents and 5 aquariums. As you could imagine I have to help with maintenance. Some times some of those are labeled my pets even though I did not adopt or buy them. The last two dogs we adopted I took back to the pound. Dogs are as much work as children. Of course some of those pets were great and loved. They lived out their lives with us and then we watched them die or put them away. Every death hurts at least a little.
