No we won’t be just like them. I have already done more and am doing more than my peers and I don’t see them catching up but if they do I will make more sacrifices. Note: I am 62 years old and yes, I have already caused tons of emissions but not as much as most of my Boomer Cohort, I was raised by a depression era Mom who would tolerate no waste or conspicuous consumption. She would not throw it out until we wore it out and we wore a lot of second hand and hand me downs. Growing our own food and gathering our own food was something she taught us. We ate dandelions. I still fix things that would be cheaper to replace.
When you feel that you are likely tilting at windmills there is a strong motivation to stop.
