Not, how do we get out of Capitalism but how do we get better out of Capitalism.

Capitalism needs to be properly restrained, properly harnessed. Capitalism needs to be turned to greater good. Capitalism improved the standard of living of almost everyone on the planet. Wiped out diseases, provided clean water.

Capitalism has corroded and become deficient and defective due to neglect. We neglected to maintain vigilant restraints on the worst effects of Capitalism. We allowed Capital to aggregate to fewer and fewer people and we let those with large aggregations of Capital to use that power to aggregate even more Capital to themselves.

What you want to get out of is not Capitalism but a kind of Capitalism. Crony Capitalism, Kleptocratic Capitalism, Oligarchic Capitalism. Capitalistic Realism is an insight into the fact that the richest Capitalists turned on society and pursued short term Capital Gains above everything else including the long term stability of their Capital.

Consider this, a Capital Gain is considered a long term Capital Gain if the asset has been held for more than one year. One year, long term, this is clearly a disfunction. This is a law written by Kleptocratic Capitalists.

A person which a food truck is a capitalist and yes that person is probably overburden by regulation because that small business is not capable of creating great harm, we should ease their regulatory burden. Amazon, Facebook, Google, Apple, etc. need to be better regulated, they can (do) cause great harm and they have to resources to prevent harm but won't do much unless forced by the government. The person who owns the food truck should be free to speak their mind because their voice is weak. The CEO's of Chase or Tesla need to have their voices restrained because they can do great harm. Free speech is not a free for all.
