Now I am sure you have lost touch with reality.
Our personal information is the only ownable asset. The right to grant use of personal data for human health and welfare can be required, but its value must be respected and returned with individual health, protection, and well-being.
Personal data once collected will be abused. No ifs, ands, or buts. All the best intentions aside, it will be hacked. The government can subpoena it. Your best friends will sell you out. Once we accept that intrusion, mandatory tracking, privacy is done. I will not support or accept tracking from either a Neo-Fascist or a Neo-Progressive government. I will give up my phone before I let it become the chains of my enslavement. Why not just let them tattoo your number on your arm and embed a chip in your brain.
This does not ring true either.
The remaining part of the employed, who has the professional option of working online from home, it is psychologically hard as the old world is gone. Still, everyone is tired of talking about it and soon will be tired of baking bread. But we are now into the second round of amazement as the benefits of shutting down the monster economy become clearer. How can we hold on to this? And, despite all the complaining about not going out, it is a transformation to learn that with Amazon, and others, you don’t need stores and malls. While there is growing cabin fever and members of the family are driving each other nuts, relationships are forming that once were important but got in the way of buying stuff and making more money. Maybe there is some good in this? The house hasn’t been this clean since it was new.
It is not psychologically hard, working from home is a gift long promised now delivered. We have not baked any bread. We have a bread machine but it is collecting dust. Bread is too many carbs. We don’t order more from Amazon now but not less either it is still a only sometimes thing. I still need stores not daily for fresh vegetables like before but every two weeks. I might start going once a week soon. No cabin fever. We can get out, plenty of space here with no people. The house is not cleaner nor dirtier.
One of us is out of touch with reality or is faking it. I am not the one who needs to sell stories.
