Oh, God. I sound like a Nihilist.

I really am not nihilistic. I often say that I feel better now that I have given up hope but that is just accepting my impotence. Not really that I can't make a difference, just the difference I can make is not worth the effort.

I believe life has meaning and I have moral principles guided by my conscience but my conscience says I don't have to keep battling the idiots and evil to the exclusion of a joyful life. Besides even the idiots can't destroy the planet in my life time.
