On the contrary most countries are socialist. In the U.S. the Government owns the military, most schools, some hospitals, airports, roads, some factories, a lot of our R&D, public transport and a lot of land. The Government owns the means of production and controls a lot that it does not own.

Every government is some hybrid of socialism and capitalism only anarchism is pure capitalism.
