Our Future with COVID

The latest science I have seen says there will be no herd immunity against COVID. Because it breaks through it will continue to spread and infect even if everyone was vaccinated. It will be less deadly as more people build better immune responses. COVID is or will soon be considered endemic. Requiring people to get a booster shot every 6 months does not seem like something that society will accept. I expect the response will be more like the current flu and pneumonia shots. Something suggested but not required. The same with masks, they are no longer required here with a few exceptions. The virus cannot be defeated, it is not like Polio. It is more like a bad flu and getting the shot does not guarantee you don’t get sick. Those of us who wore masks and got vaccinated probably saved lives but now is time to move on to the next phase of life, life after the pandemic. I think some of us have learn some new health practices, I will not go to work sick, not go to work if sick people are at work and I will probably still wear a mask some places. I am not sure what to do about booster shots, waiting for more data.
