Our laws reflect our values. The laws are aspirational. If you read them, they are very high minded, very moral and ethical. The laws treat rich and poor, black and white mostly equally.

Justice is for sale. The scales of justice are balanced with gold. If you don't have gold on your side of the scale you will not get justice.
