Patriarchy, what Patriarchy?
How high is the glass ceiling? Pretty high.
It seems that women make almost all the important decisions.
Dating aps, do I even need to explain?
Raising the kids, again, do I need to explain?
In the bedroom, don’t make me explain.
Where to go on vacation. You tell me, who decides?
Major purchases, maybe I need to explain. For couples, women are almost always consulted and often have the final say. Women actually make the majority of all consumer purchases.
The Glass Ceiling.
When I was laid off the three layers of the chain of command above me were all filled by women, Marillyn Hewson was at the top, she spent 7 years as CEO.
Gwenne Shotwell is the CEO, guess, don’t know, CEO of SpaceX.
Linda Yaccarino is the CEO of X formerly Twitter.
I could go on and on.
Pretty much the only places in the US that are Patriarchies these days are National Politics with a seeming glass ceiling above VPOTUS, and the Catholic, LDS and Baptist churches.
It seems to me that the cries of Patriarchy are just women trying to grab what little power they don’t already have.
While I am not a Feminist, I do support equal rights for women and I understand that many women are disadvantaged but they are not in that position because of a Patriarchy, there are other social issues that caused that.
