Pretty much always like what you write. I am a friend of Jesus but no Christian. I became a lapsed Catholic about the same age as you were when you parted with your church. I left over the hypocrisy and the constant money grubbing.
Prosperity Theology is the ultimate in Christian hypocrisy.
Christians and the churches are not always wrong, but they are sinners and suffer much from Pride and Greed.
Shakespeare asked in Hamlet,
"Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune
or to take arms against a sea of troubles
and by opposing, end them?
Maybe just another way of asking should I turn the other cheek or slay those that slap me. Someone who slapped you today might just save you next week if you don't slay them.
Funny, seems that many Christian Nationalists are as much snowflakes as the Liberals they ridicule.
