Puzzles, problems, working to make lives better and the world a better place. Sometimes the process is painful not enjoyable. Sometimes the anticipation is uplifting but sometimes when progress is slow or regressive the anticipation can be painful. The real joy is both the journey and achieving the destination. The joy is greater if it is shared.

Joy is not always fleeting. Some joy is profound and almost eternal. Joy can be remembered and relived. The fleeting joy that many chase today, consumer culture joy is fleeting at best and at worst buyer's remorse.

Choose wisely in your pursuit of joy. Simplest pleasures often provide the most profound joy.

Choose shared work and achievement and shun personal "success." Don't try to be a shining star, be more a warm glow.
