My truck is plain and small. I don't wear a watch, no jewelry except my wedding band. I dress in jeans and sneakers or cargo shorts and sandals.

We have a nice but smallish house.

If you don't display wealth, it is hard to attract the attention or other people of means. I think my peers think I am poor. I am wealthier than they, but they just don't know it.

Living like this avoids leaches but it also means that other nice people can't see us as possible friends.
