Sadly, no way. We can't even treat our citizens with dignity. I am not sure "inept" is the right term. I think indignity is a tactic, purposeful whether it is in regard to the homeless or migrants. The poor, the homeless, the displace, the huddle masses deserve no dignity and should expect none. Dog eat dog is what it will be. We are not far from where migrants will be met with machinegun fire at the border. Changing a few paragraphs in international law, I guess, is a worthy effort but until you change the minds of voters, international law is a mere suggestion.
