Since the great recession of 2008 we have had two recessions, the COVID recession in 2020 that is official acknowledged and the 2022 stealth recession that only some acknowledge. Both were as short as short can be, just two quarters of negative real GDP growth. This is really what a soft landing is all about, letting the steam out of the bubbles in little puffs so the bubble does not pop.

People will come to understand that a soft landing in not without pain. Soft landing is like a nagging ache as opposed to the sharp pain of a crash.
