So you do understand how it was a misrepresentation? It is not a vast majority but a slim majority. Consider as well that many of those big companies are not private but owned by their stockholders not their boss.

My boss’ and his wife own the company I work for but the company is deeply in debt. They live like they are richer than I am but I have a greater net worth. They actually owe me many tens of thousands of dollars for work they have not yet paid me.

Isn’t the point of starting a business to make money off other peoples labor?

Not all businesses are equally exploitative and size is not the proper indicator. I worked for Lockheed Martin for almost three decades and was treated very well. I think that locally some of the worst, most exploitative businesses are small landscaping and construction businesses. I am not sure they pay their workers to the letter of the law.
