Some of the bashing of landlords is not correct. Landlords provide a service, a much needed service. People need places to live and not everyone wants to own their home and not every can afford or qualify to buy a home.

Without landlords they would be homeless.

Being a landlord has become thankless and precarious. I bought a new house and considered rent my old house but will now sell it. No way in the current environment would I become a landlord.
