Some people, maybe many people cultivate that phone dependency. I don’t get e-mail or e-mail notifications on my phone. I have a VOIP phone at my desk at work and at home. I probably spend more time on screens than most people but the screen I use the least is my phone.
Your habits are what you make them. If someone wants to get a hold of me they should call my office phone, If I don’t answer it rolls over to my cell phone. If I am in my office I don’t have cell reception, too much metal in the walls, I could enable wifi calling but I don’t. My phone mostly just rides around in my pocket until I put it to charge at night.
