Sometimes, most times it is hard to fix problems when they are small and hard to recognize. We have to wait until they become a crisis before we can gather enough collective will to act.

Twin perils have made some problems almost too obvious to ignore. Trump and COVID. Still we act as if they will both go away and we can go back to normal.

Too many people are still in denial and think the old normal was not only OK but actually very good.

It is hard to find any hope for the future. I mean, yes the future will come but it won't be pretty.
