Thank you for sharing you wisdom here on Medium. You are right about a lot of that but your points are not helpful enough. We need leadership that can unite enough of us in a common vision as even those who are woke don't share a common vision.

You are wrong about American exceptionalism. Americans are not exceptional, Americans are ordinary. This country of diverse and typical people achieved first in the world status in many areas that were deemed important by our old leadership. Most powerful military, most powerful economy, best educational institutions, best R&D, the largest contributions to world governance organizations, the largest contributions to aid in world disasters and crisis. Yes the U.S. is also one of the biggest contributors to the worlds problems.

While the U.S. has achieve first in the world status, it has achieved this while handicapped by a population that is less healthy, less educated, more divided and less wealthy most other developed countries. The focus was on World Domination at the expense of our own people. Making America Great on the world stage does not translate into improved welfare for average Americans.

Can you provide a vision that will make life great for all Americans? That is what we need. Do you have a vision that will elevate leaders in our communities that can unite us in that vision?

The wrong people have the reins of power.
