That is not average and is way better than a British accent. While I am not an expert on British accents I have had to endure them for decades. The company I work for hired a bunch of laid off British Aerospace engineers. I have endured British accents from the north, London, Manchester, the Isle of Wight, from white people, black people, Indian, Pakistani, England seems as much a melting pot as the U.S. They all have a different British accent and I would be happy to not hear them again.
