The commandment was to love one another and not just members of your church. The church actually somewhat confines your actions to your group.

God does not need humans to make buildings for God, God is everywhere not just in churches.

Churches lead to people developing a group think and social isolation then to pressure to conform to a political ideology along with a religious one.

Churches seem to be a place for brainwashing children and impressionable adults.
