"If you are using the traditional bidet, you can dry using toilet paper or a towel. In most public toilets with bidets, towels are provided on a ring next to it. However, using a paper towel is a more hygienic and safe option." Where is the savings in toilet paper using a bidet. Also, my experience drying with toilet paper is foolish, it breaks down when wet. That is a feature that allows it to be flushed. Long ago sharing cloth towels in toilets was shunned. Not wanting to see brown stains on a towel in my toilet.
Bidets are not popular here for real reasons.
