The Status Quo is a Suicide Pact
What’s certain is that everyone but the elites are all fed up with the status quo. What’s unanimous is that no matter the reforms, the perks of the ruling class are left untouched.
This cannot hold forever. The sooner people in power sacrifice for the good of society, the smaller their sacrifice will need to be. You would think that would be incentive enough. These are smart powerful people. People with so much power and money that these small sacrifices are really nothing to them but damaged pride. Not real deprivation just a reduction in privilege.
The Status Quo is a death sentence. If the elites imagine that the Proles will not take the elites down with them they are mistaken.
The Plutocrats, the Oligarchs and their minions will need to save the world to save themselves. The sooner they get on that the cheaper it will be.
I wonder what expressive form of punishment to replace the guillotine the Proles will find for unreformed Elites. I imagine it will go viral on whatever.
