The USA is a great country for the top half of the population and it has the largest population of people living that high standard of living.

America has the largest privileged population on the planet. Over 150 million people living in households with more than $45,000 in annual income. There are more than 10 million millionaires in the U.S., more than any other country. There are 614 billionaires in the U.S. more than any other country.

If you want to bask in privilege your best bet is the U.S.

The majority of Americans are very privileged. Yes, America is exceptional even if only half the population is exceptional.

That does not mean that there are not millions of Americans living in conditions no better than that of a "shithole" country.
