The wording of this is a little bit off. It is not White people who are the cause of our current problems. The people who are the cause of our current problems were and are mostly white. They are also mostly male. I suspect that if our leaders for the last millennium were a better mixture of genders and races things would not be quite so bad but make no mistake there would still be plenty of problems and you would not be able to blame them on racism and sexism.
