There is a thing called the stress strain curve. It tells you how much you can bend something without breaking it. I wonder if the powers that be, the neo-liberal conservative plutocratic oligarchic elites have one for the population so the can gauge just how much they can extract from the workforce without cause a revolt. ;-)
