There is not reliable data from the most populus countries, India, China, Indonesia and Pakistan might have had more deaths and the U.S. numbers are inflated by our counting almost any death from respiratory illness during the pandemic as a COVID death.

It is likely the next pandemic will be a Flu Pandemic. I don't think Climate Change is going to be responsible for the next pandemic it certainly was not a contributor to COVID even if it was of zoonotic origin, it was culture more than climate.
