These Hispanics, aren’t they really Native Americans, or partly or some of them?

I think to a degree we get to decide what we want to call ourselves but white people identifying as black is not cool. White people with almost no Native American blood calling themselves Native American is also not cool. A Mexican or Central American being labeled as a Hispanic when they are almost certainly Native American is also not cool unless they want to be consider Hispanic.

I have also seen this go the other way when White Hispanics put down mixed race Hispanics for their lack of purity.

I know I am a racist but I revel in our diversity. I love living with people with so many different backgrounds. I want to know their stories. Native American is just not good enough, these people have so many different cultures. Oh, there in not just one White Culture either. A Yankee and a Cracker are so different as to be, well, at war. Do you know what is a Damn Yankee, it is a Northerner who moved to the South to stay. Can you be an Ex-Pat in your own country? Next time you think of someone as an Hispanic or a Native American, try and remember they are so much more.
