These rich people are in thrall of bookkeepers. Bookkeepers who can save you billions will collect millions. These rich people are playing a game and only care about winning not the impacts, certainly not the optics.

I do nothing to avoid paying taxes, I file using the standard deduction only, no tax credits or charitable or business deductions, no mortgage interest deductions. My income is in 6 figures and my effective federal income tax rate less that 15%. Warren Buffett paying 10% is not that bad. I am sure he could, like the others, get is under a couple percent if he wanted too.

Yes, we need to change the rules. We should probably be taxing wealth not income.

Sociopaths playing money games with income/taxes, what else would you expect. These guys are used to winning not by playing a better game but by rewriting the rules to their advantage.
