They value of passing a math exam is the grade and course credit, but the value of learning math is much greater, exam or no exam being able to do math well is a life long skill/ability of great value.
What does the source of a work of art or literature have to do with its value? Isn't the value (and I don't mean the dollar value) in the work's beauty, insight, message, rarity, etc. not how it was made or who made it?
