This "all the problems in working America gravitate around being overworked and not having enough time off" is too simplistic and inaccurate to be the premise of a meaningful story. I will read you story but it does not start well.
Other problems in working America
Very low pay for manual labor.
Childcare is too expensive.
Unpredictable schedules for part time workers.
Payroll taxes are too high for low wage earners and too low for those paid much higher.
Unsafe working conditions.
Sexual harassment and discrimination.
Wage theft and violations of the wage and hour laws.
With all this and you focus on not having enough time off, hah, so entitled are you.
Oh, and why would you have to quit to get time off? Just take time off, Request time off, claim medical (mental health or other) reasons. Stop checking your phone or e-mail outside of 9 to 5. You don't have to quit you just have to assert your right to time off.
