This is a non-sequitur in two ways. Few low income people do or will own houses. Many high income people own more than one house. Those two facts distort the provided data in ways that make the statement meaningless. If your household earns the median-income there are houses you can afford. I earn more than twice the median-income but my house is worth less than half the median-priced home. Entry level jobs rarely pay enough to buy a home and even if they did you still have to save a down payment. Forbes was misusing the data to sell something to someone. Don't be that someone.
