Thoughts like that might help you cope but you suicide is probably not in the Taliban or al Qaeda calculus.

The suicides will become less frequent when we stop fighting the wrong wars like Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc.

I fear Israel will have a huge soldier suicide problem after this war in Gaza. Friendly fire, dead babies, dead hostages, a territory devastated with misery for hundreds of thousands of innocents. Even the best wars are ugly, but the wrong wars are so much worse.

Oh, and the thing that will always be, the greater your love the greater the loss. I only kind of know how much you love your brothers and sisters in arms. I imagine it is more than passing friendship.
