There is a better alternative to Capitalism. Capitalism/Socialism hybrid. The U.S. practices just such an economy. The U.S. government owns a great deal of the means of production. We don't have the balance of Government/Private ownership right and we don't distribute the benefits properly. Both those can and should be done better. I work in a NASA owned manufacturing facility. The Michoud Assembly Facility. The U.S. is not a pure Capitalistic Economy. I would suggest that the government nationalize the big Monopolies or break them up.
