To make this clear, we are not talking about zero growth we are talking about 70 percent negative growth. Voluntary zero growth is hard enough to imagine. A massive shrinkage in resource consumption is not going to be voluntary. I will happen but it will be forced and very painful. Excess death and deprivation will be in its wake.
