True genius starts with knowing what to preserve, what to create and what to destroy. I am not just referring to physical objects but also ideas. One does not have to have a high IQ to be a true genius. At least not IQ as measured by standardized tests. What then does true genius get us? Insight. We know we must preserve some things, create new things and destroy other things but which things. The true genius knows not only what but when we need to do these things. A true genius is both conservative (preserve), liberal (create) and progressive (destroy).
A true genius would have you destroy much of what you covet much of what you hold dear. A true genius has no sacred cows.
Pete was not the first to understand, he and the bible said, turn, turn, turn, but: really they meant Time, Time, Time. Timing is critical.
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, a time to reap that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to gain that which is to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time of love, and a time of hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
A true genius knows when the time is right. A true genius is never ahead of their time nor are they too little too late.
Capitalist are not true geniuses nor are Socialists. There is a time for each and that time is now and always.
A true genius practices harmony, balance. A true genius can more than walk a tightrope they can walk a knife edge barefoot.
Most precious; fundamentally true genius respects nature and follows the trajectory of the universe bringing universal balance. The key to balance is patience. Timing is as important as acts themselves. Cultivating others and patience with others leads to peacefulness.
We must have patience with Capitalists and Socialists but an urgent kind of patience. We must urge them to be expeditious because true genius indicates we are late. The true genius knows we will never get the balance right so corrections are a constancy and we are reacting because we never listen to true genius we would rather kill the messenger than take our medicine.
