Gold Mining Should Stop

There is like 100,000 tons of Gold sitting in vaults just being stored.

To use your number “up to 0.018 grams” per phone, 1 ton of gold would make 50 million phones, so we need 30 tons of gold each year to make all the cell phones sold (1.5 billion per year). If not a gram of gold is recycled in 10 years we would have used 300 of those 100,000 tons of gold sitting in vaults. In a 100 years we would have used 3,000 tons and you can bet your you know what that a lot of that would be recycled.
