UBI will not end inequality it will just help the poor out of poverty. There will still be rich and people who live on just UBI will be the new poor. In many ways wealth is relative not absolute. If you want to eliminate inequality you must do as Mao, confiscate the wealth of the rich.

Yes, you are free to write as you wish but I am free to criticize as I see fit. How you respond to criticism is an indication of your personality. You seem defensive not receptive.

The Alaska Permanent Fund was not a UBI experiment is was a way to distribute some of the State Oil revenue to all its residents. Every resident gets the money regardless of their wealth, just like UBI. UBI is not defined as National. It could be City, State, Nation or Global.

You are making my point, no nation has adopted UBI. If people really supported it some nation would have adopted it. Say Finland or Chile.

The alternative to UBI is a better social safety net and higher minimum wage. Better education, Medicare for all, higher minimum wage, better worker protections, better pre-K, WIC, SNAP, more affordable housing.

We have seen what giving people money does, it causes inflation which makes the money worth less so you have to give them more. This is not a virtuous cycle. MMT says the government can print all the money they want but it also says that if they print a lot of money and spend it wrong you will create inflation.
