Humanity has always sucked, it is not some modern phenomena.

The problem is not that humanity sucks, the problem is humans are too numerous. If there were only a half billion humans, plastic pollution would not be a problem, anthropomorphic climate change would be undetectable.

With our current population, even if humans did not suck we would still be destroying the planet.
